About Everight Position Technologies Corporation

Everight Position is a company that is dedicated to solving engineer’s problems in locating sensors to measure linear, angular and tilt positions.  Unlike other companies that are organized around one basic technology, Everight has a range of solutions that can answer all your needs.  We know that they engineers designing equipment are not looking for a particular sensor technology but are looking for a particular sensor capability (performance and physical size) at a given price.
All of our position sensors are “non-contact” in that they use various forms of electromagnetic interactions instead of the physical contact of a wiper arm in a potentiometer.  They all work with a range of input voltages and most have options of both analog and digital outputs.

In rotary sensors, we offer a range of full turn sensors with resolutions ranging from 10 bits (Gill sensors), 12 to 16 bits (Posital) and a world-class 20 bits (Netzer precision).  The Netzer sensor achieves its extremely high performance in a package as small as 1 inch in diameter and a quarter inch high and can operate over the full military temperature range of -55° to +125°C.   Positek offers a line of partial turn rotary sensors (up 160° rotation) that are extremely robust (up to IP67) and available as Intrinsically Safe.  We also offer a line of unique multi-turn rotary sensors (Posital) that maintains the correct number of turns even with the power off.   Although low cost, Gill sensors provide performance under difficult conditions including being totally submersed.

In linear sensors, we again offer a range of performances.  Positek linear sensors offer accuracies of 0.25% of full scale in lengths up to 600mm and once again are available as Intrinsically Safe.  They meet the IP67 standards and can operate in hydraulic cylinders up to pressures of 5000 psi.  The Netzer Precision linear sensor offers resolutions of 1 micron in lengths up to 200mm while the lower accuracy (and lower cost) Gill sensor is a good choice in lengths up to 60mm.
